Power Sources
At RJ Electricar we beleive if you create a solution that ignores half the problem you haven't created a solution at all. That is why we believe that if you are going to develope effective alternatie energy vehicle solutions you also have to come up with more efficient flexible and personalized ways to get the energy that powers them. We believe in giving people options on how they can heat, cool, light, and enhance their homes by allowing them to choose how they get their energy, where it comes from and how much they pay for it. As we have stated elsewhere, "As we prepare ourselves for the next age of technological development we will need vast amounts of energy. This will require that we use the energy and resources we have much more efficiently and creatively."

Hydro ElectricThis is an old form on renewable energy that was often used to run mills to grind flower. The basic premise is that a stream can be diverted to apply energy to a wheel as it falls and therefore do work. The modern version of hydro electric power manifests itself as a hydro electric dam with a reservoir behind it. The water is then channeled through an impeller and as that impeller rotates it creates electricity.
Wind PowerThe most prevalent form of wind power is the wind mill. This too is a technology that has been around for a while. Modern wind mills, however, have gotten much larger and can generate power by turning at a slow rate.
Solar PowerThe most recognized solar power technology is the solar cell or solar panel where the suns light is transferred into electricity through a chemical reaction. There are other solar energy system that involve using and focusing the heat of the sun that have shown great promise recently.
Human PowerSome of the versions of human power might include an exercise bike or treadmill hooked up to a generator. This is a promising area of energy production because the person who participates gets in shape while creating electricity.
